2008/12/16 HanKook Daily Newspaper CubeOne, developed by E-Global System (CEO Hee Chang Kangㆍwww.eglobalsys.co.kr), has been designated as a new excellent IT product, NEP by Korea Technology and Standards, procurement excellent product by Korea Post for it is the first product to enable index search through encrypted index. For some time, once an index became encrypted, index search became impossible; therefore, information such as Social Security numbers has been excluded from encryption. However, CubeOne has developed an algorithm enabling index search and index structure independently so that Social Security numbers can be encrypted in all sites. CubeOne encrypts data both in table and index, and enables index search through encrypted index. Non-stop construction function provides very stable function without stopping the service for many days or locking. Also, CubeOne is one of the best security products in key confidentiality among encrypted products. It never stores data for encryption in plain text anywhere in the DB server according to Encryption Module Verification Standards, restricting access of unauthorized personnel. Some products store encryption/decryption column keys (user key) on file or table permanently, causing security vulnerability. Version 2.3 has a function to defend against any leak attempt by changing application name or password, a first in the industry. |
