E-Global System (CEO Hee Chang Kang) mentioned on 26 that its “index search method for encrypted columns,” essential technology in DB encryption, has been registered for patents in Japan and the U.S. It was registered for a patent in Japan last September, and in July of this year it was registered for patent in the U.S. The technology is essential to encrypt a table of a DB and execute search conditions using an encrypted index.

 

In particular, this technology was recommended for patent by Korea Institute of Patent Information, and a product with this technology applied for and received NEP certification. Don Sup Cho, a director of E-Global System, forecasted that “as the technical superiority of CubeOne has been officially recognized overseas it would be helpful for sales of related products.”
E-Global System forecasted that by securing intellectual property rights, it would be immensely helpful to enter overseas markets ahead of time. .
